When considering which books to buy my DDs for the historical dolls, I am torn between the 6-book paperback collection and the single, hardback story collection. I thought it would be nice to have 6 individual books (easier to curl up in bed with), but my DDs do love the gold edges on the hardback collection. Does anyone have a preference?
Thanks!

I prefer the 6 book series because they have the peek into the past section in the back of each book. The story collection does not have that.

I agree with Dionne. The only "Peek into the Past" section in the story collection books is taken from the "Changes for..." book. All of the other "Peek into the Past" sections are omitted in the story collection.
Another great thing about going with the six book set is that it will be much easier for your daughter to toss a book in her bag to read anyplace she goes.

I was wondering about the Peek Into The Past sections as I had not bothered to check into this when we saw the collections at Costco before the holidays. I think I will stick with the 6-book collections: thanks for your advice!

OK I am torn between them too...
I have a few of the single collection books. Samantha,Addy, and Kaya. While I am missing the "peek into the past" sections, I like having a single book for myself or Marina.
OK well then there are the single book collections that do have them. I like those too. Have some of those sets. Kirsten and Josefina.
OK BUT the "welcome" books, do they have the majority of the information form the "peek" books? Seems to me some of them have even more information in them.....I only have ONE of the Welcome books so any infor on those would be great.

Johanna,
I can't offer any information on the *Welcome* books as I don't have any of them, but I just wanted to chime in and say these look really excellent. I'd love to get Kaya's and Felicity's especially, but it is another of case of wanting too many things all at once!!

I'd noticed that about the single Story Collection books before too... I wonder why AG decided against publishing those in the multiple storied volume. "Looking Back"s are always one of my favorite parts, as if AG really cares about history, not just selling dolls.
I agree with your decision to buy the books separately... those final sections are so worth it!

I would go with the six book collection, it is the best value for your money. Thats what i did with Samantha's collection. Its defiantly better.
